GENOSYS was founded by Kisoo Han, a mechanical engineer whose career as a medic treating burn patients sparked a lifelong pursuit: advancing skin regeneration.
In 2008, his breakthrough came with the reinvention of microneedling technology. By addressing critical flaws in existing devices, he developed the iconic disk needle roller - known globally as the genuine “540 roller” - setting a new gold standard in skin rejuvenation.
But innovation didn’t stop there.
Mr. Han recognized a critical gap: there were no skincare formulations designed to work safely and effectively with microneedling treatments. GENOSYS was created to fill that void.

In 2012, the Renaissance House of Skincare team travelled to Seoul, South Korea, with a clear purpose: to source advanced, professional microneedling solutions that delivered real, regenerative results. At the time, microneedling was still emerging globally, and few brands were developing skincare and technology specifically designed to work together.
It was during this search that Renaissance discovered GENOSYS- a brand whose science-led philosophy, clinical integrity, and focus on skin regeneration aligned perfectly with Renaissance’s own values.
Introducing GENOSYS to Ireland
In 2014, Renaissance House of Skincare proudly introduced GENOSYS to the Irish market, making it one of the first professional microneedling-dedicated brands available in Ireland.
